30 hours for working families
Funding for working families
For children aged 9 months to 4 years
Up to
30 hours funding is available for eligible working families
in England with a child between
9 months and 4 years old
:
Each parent must earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours/week at national minimum wage but under £100,000 adjusted net income per year
Your child must be between 9 months and 4 years old
30 hours of childcare or early education is for 38 weeks
It is a total of 1,140 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare providers

Child turns 9 months between:
Funded place starts from:
1st January and 31st March
April (Summer term)
1st April and 31st August
September (Autumn term)
1st September and 31st December
January (Spring term)
