Addington Valley Academy

Addington Valley Academy is a special school in Croydon for children and young people aged 2 to 19 with autism and complex learning needs.

Who is Addington Valley Academy for?

Addington Valley Academy is designed for pupils who:

  • Have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Have additional needs such as learning difficulties, speech and language challenges, or sensory needs.
  • Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Are aged 2 to 19 years.

Each pupil is supported through an individualised approach tailored to their strengths and needs.

How do I apply?

Admissions are managed by Croydon Council’s SEND Team through the EHCP consultation process.

To apply:

  • Your child must have an EHCP.
  • The 0–25 SEND Statutory Service will consult with the school to check if it’s the right setting for your child’s needs.
  • Your child’s SENCo or caseworker can support you through this process.
