Bensham Manor School is a welcoming and inclusive special school in Croydon for young people aged 11 to 16 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and autism.

Bensham Manor School is for pupils who:

• Are aged 11 to 16 years old.
• Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Need extra support with learning, communication, or emotional wellbeing.
• May benefit from smaller classes, structure, and therapeutic support.

Bensham Manor provides:

• Individualised teaching in small, supportive classes.
• A curriculum that includes English, maths, science, life skills, and vocational learning.
• A strong focus on communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
• Specialist support for pupils with autism and social communication needs.
• Therapeutic and pastoral support for emotional wellbeing.
• Access to work-related learning, travel training, and preparation for adulthood.

The school also has a post-16 department, helping students move on to college, training, or supported employment. 

Bensham Manor works closely with parents and carers, recognising that families are key to their child’s success.

All admissions to Bensham Manor School are managed through Croydon Council’s SEND Team, using the EHCP consultation process.
