Early Years SEND Team

The Early Years SEND Team supports childminders and private, voluntary and independent (PVI) early years settings in Croydon to meet the needs of children from birth to five years with emerging or additional special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

Our Early Years SEND Locality Leads work alongside settings to identify needs early, strengthen inclusive practice and plan support through the Graduated Approach. Where targeted support is agreed, we create an Early Years Targeted Support Plan (EY-TSP) together with the setting. It usually runs for up to 12 weeks, with three planned visits.

Support is free, and referrals are made by the setting. If you are a parent or carer, please speak to your child's setting first.
