Early Intervention SEND Team

The Early Intervention SEND Team works with Croydon's mainstream schools to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities early, so they can thrive in their local school.

How to Access Support

SENDCOs can book a virtual Advice Clinic with their allocated SEND Advisor or request SEND Advisor support in school.

Where needs continue despite a well-evidenced graduated approach, they can also submit a funding request to our monthly panel.

If the panel approves a request, it can lead to a Short Term Intervention Plan (STIP), which usually lasts one term.

Referrals are made by the school's SENDCO, so parents and carers should speak to their child's school.
