Home to School Transport

If you have SEND, you might be able to get help with traveling to school or college.

Croydon offers different types of home-to-school travel support, depending on your needs and age.

What travel support is available?

  • Free travel pass – many young people can get a free bus or travel pass to help them get to school or college.
  • Personal Travel Budgets (PTB) – families can receive money to arrange their own flexible travel.
  • Travel training – if you want to learn to travel independently, we offer 1-to-1 training to help you gain confidence.
  • Council transport (taxi/minibus) – some children with complex needs may get a taxi or minibus to school.

Each application is looked at individually to see what support works best for you.

Get the support you need to travel safely and confidently!
