Every year Croydon needs to identify the supply and demand of childcare services and the extent to which parent’s needs are currently being met across the borough. The Childcare Sufficiency Assessment is a process designed to ensure there is enough childcare to meet the needs of parents and carers with children aged up to 14 years old (or up to 25 years old for disabled children and children with additional needs). Following the Children and Families Act 2014 all local authorities are under a statutory duty to report annually to elected council members on how they are meeting their duty to secure sufficient childcare, and to make this report available and accessible to parents.
The latest report can be found below.
