Types of childcare in Croydon
Childminder
Provide full/part-time early education and childcare within their own home for all ages up to 18 years.
Day Nursery
Provide full/part-time early education and childcare in a setting for children aged up to 5 years, all year round.
Pre-school
Provide part-time early education and childcare in a setting for children aged 2-5 years, term-time only.
Nursery schools and nursery classes
Provide early education and childcare for children aged 3-5 years, term-time only.
Breakfast, after school and holiday clubs
Provide full/part-time childcare in a setting, before, after and during school holidays for children of primary school age (some may cater of younger or older children).
Nannies
Provide full/part-time childcare in the child's own home for children of all ages.
Creche
Provide childcare during the day on an occasional basis while a parent/carer does something else e.g. work, study or shopping, for children of all ages.
