The funded entitlement is for 3 and 4 year old children to access up to 15 hours of funded early education and childcare with a nursery, preschool, child-minder or school that is registered to offer funded places.
All 3 and 4-year-olds can get 570 funded hours per year. It's usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year, the term after their 3rd birthday:
